You have several options to update the Digistore Connect Extension.

Please backup your system before any Updates to revert in case of failed updates to a working homepage!

Please have a look on the following notes according changes in the versions!

Manual Download & Update with the Extension Manager

With this option you see directly if you have a valid subscription.

Please login to the Medialekt Homepage with your access data and download the current ZIP file.

You can then use the Joomla! Extensions installation process as usual. Joomla! recognizes that it is only an Update and does not change your configuration.

Update function directly from Extension Manager

Update ≤ v2.3.0 to newer

Since the update v2.3.0 it is also possible to update directly from the Joomla! Extensions Manager, unless your Package has expired:

If so, you will not be granted access and a corresponding error will be displayed:

Deactivation from expired Packages & Users via the Cronjob

Update ≤ v1.4.8 to newer

Until the version v1.4.8 all users was determined purely via their Register-Date and the Package duration.
A users validity could be determined for example he was in a Package X with 30 days duration.

Since Digistore Connect version 1.7.2 every IPN-Call get his own entry. The duration timing is already in calculation on adding his IPN-Call record.

Also the complete Cronjob functionality was updated due to this and gets the add_user action and the Register out date.
The user with the according mail address gets removed from the corresponding user groups!

To ensure the Cronjob can handle past Packages before the Update, it is required that you manually add the appropriate IPN-Calls!
Just look to the required add_user action and a past Register Out Date!
